Default I screwed up the motor in my Car!!! :(

Well I think I really done it this time. I was racing this past weekend and I lost two quarts of oil out of the crankcase breather tube. I had real low compression in cyl # 2. Here is the copression test results.

PSI in Cyl 1 - 175
PSI in Cyl 2 - 105
PSI in Cyl 3 - 180
PSI in Cyl 4 - 183

So I guess cyl #2 is gone or the piston ring might as well not be there. I guess I really done it this time. I have no clue where to start or nothing. I am soo bummed out right now. This really sucks. I guess I will get the experience the hard way to rebuild my motor. Or at least the heads up.

You need to do another compression test to really know what happened. You have taken the "dry" test ... now pull the plugs and pour some oil into each cylinder through the plug holes. Check the compression now. If it increases ... rings are the problem ... if no change ... valves are the problem.

You will know a lot more by actually pulling the head off ... but this should give you a clue as to what may have happened.

I'm not too worried about it because I have another motor on the way and I will just build one motor as race motor and the other as a regular running motor. I knew this day was coming sooner or later. I was just hoping for later. I am probably going to go ahead and pull the motor and just go from there. Now I can just make this car a hell a lot quicker with a built motor. I can build this motor properly and no cutting corners. I will make this to end up being around a 10,000 dollar F23A1 motor that will hopefully push 500hp. That is my goal and I hope it can be done.

Later Matt
