Default help on fuel rail?

i put in an aem fuel rail a few months ago and it messed up everything. it died on me at stop lights, wasted gas, i didn't know what was wrong with it. i bought a fpr and fuel gauge to make sure all the air to fuel and **** was right. before putting the fuel rail on i was getting about 27-28 mpg, after putting it on i went down to about 18-19. after a couple of weeks i put the stock rail back on and went to get a tune-up. after the tune-up i still only get 19 mpg. any suggestions on what could be wrong? i would really appreciate any suggestions. thanx in advance.

A fuel rail would not cause a decrease in gas milage. All that the fuel rail does is make sure enough fuel is getting to the injectors. Your injectors would not have been sending any more fuel unless you also swapped larger fuel injectors also. Something was hooked up incorrectly. Did you check the fuel pressure, I know you said you were getting a gauge. What is it reading?

either A. your driving like a maniac....or b. something's not connected properly (prolly a leak!)

A fuel rail in itself does not have the capability of wasting gas.

reset the ecu and see if that helps...sometimes accords (for some reason or another) don't take to mods kindly unless the ecu is reset...just a thought
