Lowered car..stock ride? Possible?
I want to lower my Rex about 1.5 to 2 inches but I don't want a hard ride(I had some cheap coilovers and...ouch!!!
)....I would prefer springs that feel like stock...do they exist?

I don't know if its possible. I have had a couple of setups, and both were bouncy and hard. The first setup i had was with stock shocks, and 2' Neuspeed race springs. The second which was a little better, is what I have know, cheap Ractive coilovers with Tokico Blue shocks. I think it also depends on the rim size and tire profile you run with your setup.
actually they do exist. I used to have regular Sprint springs that were blue, rated as lowering 2.5 inches but it only lowered about 1.5. Ride felt exactly like stock. I changed them out though because they werent low enough, so i got the Sprint RX Extremes. They ride really nice too but you WILL need shocks if you get the RX's. As for the Sprint Blues, stock shocks are fine, ride is not bouncy at all, the springs are progressive also.
OK, here is the solution.
There is a myth about cutting coils. Cuting coils is bad because you increase the spring rate of the spring, meaning it becomes harder to compress. However, it is still not as hard as the aftermarket springs. People who cut coils and use the factory struts ruin the struts because the struts were designed to work with the factory spring rate. So, here is what I did a while back, I no longer have the springs because I WANTED a harsher ride.
I cut the factory springs by two coils. then I got Koni Adjustable struts. With those struts I was able to dial in the correct amount of dampening so I got a lower ride with no bounciness at all, and ride that was very close to stock.
I drove like that for about a year then I decided to get into autocross and I needed a stiffer spring rate.
So that's your solution. I didn't say it was cheap.

My Civic has a nice street ride lowered 2" with eibach sportlines and tokiko Illumina's. I've had this setup for 5 years now. Handles nice, rides nice.
use some soft springs..like sprints work well...or some sport springs like the H&R sports...get some adjustable struts like Tokico illumnas or Konis..and run 14'' rims with 60 series and ur ride wont be to harsh if you run 15's or 16's it will be stiff

Just make sure you put in the stock size bump stops, and don't lower any more then 2 1/2", and you'll be fine.
Just take a look at the H&R and Tien coilover setup's....they have a shorter shock body.

i just put installed them on my rex last tuesday, and even tough i haven't driven it much(no plates), it rides really nice.
they have 1,5" drop and the gsr rims i have look great on the car...
Goldline all the way...

Buy my springs they are only like a 1.5 inch drop they make it handle great and the ride is great with tokico blues. I just got some progress springs. 50 bucks and there yours. they are Jamex.
TEIN springs, not full coils. i have them on my dads car in cali. they ride like stock, and they are teins so the handel GREAT. i do have them on tokico blues. but still a nice ride. they lowwer your car about 1.5. so you could use with stock struts. but i would say, get some new sturts, even if its stock replacements struts, then you will be all good!
