wheel bearing needs to be replaced?
my friend was sitting shotgun in my rex the other night. he commented that i need a new wheel bearing(s)? he said that my front right wheel needed it(them)? i could never feel anything from the driver's side, but my friend said that it feels like a knocking underneath his feet when sitting and i'm driving.
any takes on this situation? how much money am i looking at spending here? potential damage? thanks...

yup. i wouldn't start w/ the hub assembly/bearing b/c it can be costly-are your tie rods good? tie rods can also make similar sounds to the hub bearing.
Usually if a wheel bearing is about to go it will begin making noise when turned to the opposite direction. IE if you turn left and the right wheel makes noise its the right wheel bearing. Turn right and the noise comes from the left its the left wheel bearing. After this, the final test is to jack the car up and grab the wheel/tire at the top and bottom pull/push, if there is any play then its the wheel bearing. Next grab it at the front and back of the wheel/tire and push/pull. If it does not move top to bottom but does front to back its the tie rod end. The tie rod end will make a thumping sound that appears to come from under foot.

i really don't know much about cars at all. is there a link you can send me with info on all this stuff? tie rods? hub assembly? i'm so lost....just being honest with ya.
Find someone local to give you a hand or purchase the Helms Manual for your car it will have specific directions on what these parts are and how to evaluate them. I don't mean to sound condesending but if you don't know what a tie rod end is and what a wheel bearing is you should get some help!!!!
When a wheel bearing starts to go, it will make an incredibly obnoxious squeeking sound that is proportional to how fast you are going (the faster you go, the louder it gets). If you haven't heard anything, I doubt it's the wheel bearing...
