as you all my know, i totaled my 90 hatch last month and now i have another one to work on. but heres my problem... to new one has a D15b1 in it and the old one
has a D15b in it. places on the internet says that the d15b1 has 70 hp and the d15b is jdm and has 105 hp. and some other places say the motors are the same and both have 105 hp. i need to know which one is true to save me from pointless motor swaping. thanks in advance.

 

i think the d15b2 is teh more powerful jbm vtec motor, and the d15b1 is teh usdm crap motor

 

it's not a d15b2 and it's not vtec. it a D15b sohc non vtec motor and the other one is a D15b1

 

ok, i stand corrected......

 

d15b2 is the civic/crx dx motor. i have a block for one in my garage. i have heard 83 hp or something...

 

the b1( USDM Std motor) has 73 hp
the b2( USDM Dx motor) has 93 hp
I think these are the correct figures
Either way, the JDM d15 is got more.
