car is throwing a CEL 67 - Catalyst system below threshold or malfunctioning catalyst system. i am running a Carsound cat - secondary O2 is in place and i've checked all my bolts which are tight.

i know people sometimes just wrap their secondary O2 in tin foil if they are running test pipes, but the reason I got a Carsound was that i wouldnt throw CEL's... does anyone else occasionally throw a CEL with a Carsound? i tried resetting ECU and that didnt help... if I have to wrap in tin foil, i will but i wont be happy about it...

you'll get CEL 67s with a lot of high flow cats, including carsounds.

I just took out the bulb for the CEL, but my fix is pretty ghetto

 

When I got that code it was because my O2 was dead.

 

I have had my Carsound cat on for over 2,000 miles and no CEL whatsoever.

 

if your secondary O2 is dead, wouldnt you throw a CEL 65: Oxygen Sensor Heater (Secondary) malfunctioning or defective oxygen sensor heater..?

also how else can you test to see if your secondary o2 is dead? just replace it and see if the CEL goes away? i dont have any spare 02 sensors lying around

 

i recently installed a new carsound, cuz i threw a code w/ my old one... it dint have a CEL until one of the bricks came loose and started to rattle...

 

i took mine to acura and had them check it and it said 0420 or some chit like that which means cat falling appart. i have no idea how many miles are on it cause it bought it from Blue R
