What is too tight on a Timing belt?

Default What is too tight on a Timing belt?

Just curious at what point there isnt enough deflection. And if you feel like giving the full range(x" -> x" is good) that would be helpful too. i think mine may be a tad too tight, it whines a little.

push it down between the 2 cam gears, you should have about 1/4" deflection or less....
if so, you're good...
