OK here is my huge problem. I just got my vafc, and got instructions on how to install it online from apexi and then a revised version from another site. That isnt the problem though. The instructions printed off odly and to make a long story short i did all the wiring upsidedown and backwards. So after realizing how huge of a **** up I am, i undid all the wiring and re-connected the wires. THIS SHOULD just be like normal again, but now it wont start. It just keeps trying to turn over and wont. So if anyone could PLEASE help me figure this out I would be forever thankful. And to add to the incentive of helping me, anybody that wants to flame me for my ignorance, just go on and do it. I deserve it.

 

If the car won't start, your wiring isn't right.

I bet you have the Yellow whire and white wire backwards. These are your air flow/ pressure signal in and output wires. On your SAFC_wire sheet this is on page 3. If you dont have it wired right, then i put money on the fact that you dont have a good connection in your wiring. Did you use the male and female fittings that came with the unit? I would forget those because when i had the s_afc a while ago i had connection problems with those and i couldnt start my car either. I took the fittings off and just straight wired them, electrical taped them, then everything worked just fine. If you can take a pic of your wiring and ill see if i can diagnose everything for you. If your wiring is perfect and thats not the problem, then its your fuel settings. I recommend checking your wiring and make sure all the wires are properly hooked up and connected with each other first.

 

You sir fuked yourself by not understanding such an important installation. I'm not helping as there have been many threads on this topics.

 

Thanks, but I have tried to return the ecu wiring to stock because i totally messed up every single wire the first time. I turned the cans accessories on with it wired wrong and the accessories turned on but the vafc didnt. So I then tried splice all the miscut wires back together. THey look like they are connected right. I think that I may have totally fried my ecu by turing on the accessories when it was totally wired wrong.

Seems like a waste of money for the VAFC....you coulda been getting hondata, and actually feeling Hp gains.

Yes. I had a VAFC, and it didnt help much. Of course I didnt have to buy one either

Well yes my post is useless. But seriously when you hack into your ECU I'm sure most people consider that pretty important and make absolute sure that its going to be done right. I'd love to help you but it becomes a chore after awhile.

 

Ok, I was VERY VERY careful when I did this. I took 2 hours doing it. You would have to see the print out I have, and if you saw it, you would see that the natural way to take out the ecu is backwards from the way they diagram it. I knew exactly what to do, and was careful when doing it. I made a very stupid mistake that most everyone would have made if you had the instructions I had. So yes I messed up big time, but that doesnt mean that Im careless or whatever. Please just need some help with this. Is it possible to fry the ecu from what I did???

OK...I have 0 exp installing a V-AFC.

However, I remeber reading something about one of the wires being listed incorrectly in the apex'i original instructions...lemme find the link for ya.
