Default My B16 swap is done...(LOTS OF PICS)

Hey guys, just wanted to share some pics of my swap and I thought maybe someone might find it useful... I ordered my engine from hmotorsonline and got it within two weeks... came very well packaged and clean: Steve gets a Its a B16a with S1 trans...

only problem i had was a messed up alternator belt: replaced with one from a 99-00 si

code check

I have a type r intake and cams: side by side of intakes

to use the type r intake, you need an eacv from a 92-95 civic si/ex and a fuel rail from an 94+del sol or gsr...

aem fuel rail from a 94+ gsr

type r intake put together

old trusty d16

d16 out

my dad grinding away the front mount

front mount gone

bang out this area for alternator clearance

AXLES:
you dont need these two parts

our work area

And finally the motor in:

it's a different valve cover, look at the black one. the DOHC is big, but on the red one the VTEC is big

nice swap...thats actually not true what you said about needing a different fuel rail when doing the ITR manifold swap...all you really need is an obd1 IAT to relocate into your air intake tube, instead of using the one in your #2 runner of the manifold.

Good job, looks clean otherwise!

Just noticed that you bought the 99/00 Si alternator belt, is this the belt that is an inch shorter and makes it so you don't have to dent the frame rail? I bought the 94 Del Sol VTEC belt, but it isn't here yet, I dented the frame rail but would like to also use the shorter belt to gurantee clearance.

thanks for all the kind words guys... the valve cover is from a civic type r(or so i was told) , its my nice one, i have a black one cut to tune the cam gears...
yeah its the b16 throttle body: funds ran out before i could upgrade
i decided to upgrade the fuel rail anyways so i didnt have to mess around with anything else...

and yes the alternator belt is shorter, but i still made the denting anyways just to be on the safe side
