OK I currently use -4an lines but I rerouted the lines (more straight path) and ever since then i've been burning a lot of oil. I've heard that -4an can be too big and "flood" the turbo. I was at a shop and a guy was suggesting that could have been a problem. Would it hurt to switch to -3an since I'm going to redo my oil feed setup and use the Golden Eagle oil filter adapter anyway?
I had the same problem also then I switched to a -3an and problem solved. I would get it asap because you can damage your seals. is the car smoking? you might want to check the return line to make sure its not clogged or pinched and not flowing upwards
i called most of the turbo companys(garrett, turbonetics, precion, ect.) and they said they use -4an all the time. they reomended eiter a -4an or -3an, either one should work fine.
I always say -3, but here's a better way to look at it.
Use -4, and if it gives you smoke, check your oil return.
If all is well with the return, step down to -3 on the feed.
