bought nx stage 1 wet kit have some setup Q's
I hate asking questions like this but I did what the topic says and just need to know what I should do. I have cam gears and a vafc. Should I put all the settings on the vafc back to normal and redyno it with the nx kit or is it safe to leave it where it is. And I know you arent supposed to advance ignition timing but what about Cam timing, my exhaust cam is retarded 3 degrees and nothing on the intake side, Is it safe there or should it be put back to normal. Also what is a safe fuel pressure to run at because I have a fuel rail and pressure regulator too. I am running it at about 31 psi at idle and dont remember what its at at wide open throttle prebebly around 39 psi. I think stock pressure is 40 psi at wide open throttle but not sure. Also, to set the pressure at wide open throttle you just pull of the vacuum line on the regulator, correct? I just want to clarify all of this before I **** something up and I love my prelude too much to do that. If you can help please do this is very important. Thanks alot
You can leave the VAFC settings alone as long as your fuel pump is providing enough fuel. The cam gears should be fine at their present setting. Your best bet will be to get on a dyno and check everything. You may be able to make some more hp with a bit of tinkering.
thanks. Should I change my fuel press. like up to maybe 41 or 42 at wot just to be safe with getting to lean.
