What model is the CRX? Is it a Si, DX or HF? Gotta have that info to determine what motor it has. About swaps, the options are huge. Youll find tons of info by searching archived threads.

are you blowing smoke as well... oil in the coolant usually means a blown head gasket

those were my thoughts. then a friend said he had the same thing happen to his civic. all he did is oil change and used 2040 instead of 1030 good thing to try or not?

btw what motor is it d-series?

yes its a d- series. all 88-91 crxs and civics have d series. Your engine code is D16a6, memorize that. It's the 1.6 nonvtec SOHC engine. rated at either 105 (88 only) or 108 (89-91). The engine is underrated from the factory, most produce more power than that. Changing the oil is not going to help a blown headgasket. It may make it last longer, but you will have to fix it soon.

I want another CRX so bad and its only been 2 days....

You can swap just about any engine into that car. It all depends on how much money you wish to spend. The cheepest is prolly another D16 or a B16 Depends on how much power you are looking for
