2000 Honda Accord SS Chrome Headers
Hey,
I have installed 4-1 headers about a month ago. The new headers only had 1 spot for a o2 sensor. I have not plugged that o2 sensor in (hence my engine light stays on) what I want to know is how bad is it to drive around with no o2 sensor and will I get better performance with them in.
Thanks in advanced.

I've heard that some times your car can go into something called "safety mode", from not haveing the O2 sensor in place, which kills the power gains of any modes you've done.

So how do people install the 2nd o2 sensor on headers if the headers only have 1 spot. Do you guys tap another whole in it? So to awnser my question riding around with no o2 sensor is pretty bad.

There made by a company called SS Chrome.. The headers are ceramic and theres a spot for the secondary o2 sensor but not one for the primary on the front of the manifold. So Ive been driving it without any o2 sensors. I do see increase in performance on the high end but got a feeling I will have better once a new o2 sensors have been put in. I am changing them to DC style 4-2-1 headers which have the correct wholes for both o2 sensors but until I have them I have been driving around like that.
Thanks again
Thanks again
