Will a cluster w/tach from a 90 LX civic sedan directly swap over to a 90 DX w/o tach sedan without any wiring mods?

I'll second this. My 89 CRX Si gauge cluster plugged into my 88 hatch with no problems.

 

i third it, i put a 89 lx cluster in my 88 with no problems at all.

 

And both of you went from a cluster with no tach to one with a tach and all you had to do was unscrew the old one unplug it and replace it with the new one.....???sorry don't mean to doubt you guys, but before I go spend money on a cluster I just wanted to be sure....

 

yup, took out and upluged old one then plugged in new one and started car to test it out, worked so put everything back together

 

believe me, i took my old EX cluster and put it in my crap auto dx hb, it works perfectly fine. and i did it myself.

 

sure you could do the plug N play method, but wheres the fun.....try putting in at 90-93 integra gauge cluster in the DX hatch, thats the fun one

 

Yeah, because the wires for it are all there. The tachometer was just an option. It's just like how my base model hatchback has the wiring for a clock, but no click there. Same with the cigarette lighter!

 

The same applies for the rear speakers in the HB's. The wires are there just waiting for you to install the speakers.
