Default Re-Winged the R yesterday,,, and observations...

Not that I should have to post a Pic since we all know what an R WITH a wing looks like. Mine just happened to be one of the very few in our area without a wing.

My point is, my First and Biggest observation, between the rollbar I had installed and adding the wing, there is only about 40% vision in my rearview.

If I'm in your way at the expo and I don't wave you on, just Honk madly,,, I'm not used to Not being able to see everything behind me.

As for the magical downforce issue? We won't open that can of worms and discuss that taboo AGAIN. Suffice to say that I am a believer...

Now, I just need to find Something that will remove that brake dust grime from the lower half of my car... It started at Limerock when it was wet, and I am about to just strip it down with cleaner, then start from scratch, glaze, polish and wax it all over... Although I love my car and enjoy working on it and cleaning it... I am Not looking forward to 4 to 5 steps to get it to look like it used to.

Maybe I'll just give up and drive it dirty. But, that black color looks Soo awesome when it's clean and polished.

so you got the roll-bar too....you guys make me looks like I'm not too serious about track driving Anyway, you can try to adjust the side mirror to see the rear (or ask your instructor to help you )

don't be too lazy to clean up those brake-dust.....I think they are not friendly to the paint.

Actually, I don't think that's a double negative.

Claybar worked well for me to remove caked on brake dust

Hell I think it's bad enough with just the wing. Worst bit is it makes it hard to tell weather or not its a cop car behind you or not, only real way to tell is to floor it and see what happens I guess

Dude, get a life... I can understand commenting on spelling and or the formation of clear and concise communications but, getting **** about double negatives? Please...

Contribute constructively or go away.

And BTW just out of curiosity I had Word check that sentence for errors and this is what it suggested:

"I am not used to not being able to see everything behind me."

So be it, my contraction and capitalization was incorrect according to them, I'll live with that and your "double negative" as well. Big deal.

Unless you have any insight about the reinstallation of my wing, my rearward vision (or lack there of), or even anything helpful for removing R compound brake dust from the flanks of my car, then find somewhere else to be.

Thanks to the others who are trying to be helpful,

A.

PS Starting your sentence with a lower case "t" & capitalizing "SO" are also errors but, hey guess what? We don't give a ****!

I just washed and put the cover on. I'll try the claybar this week. Now the quandry is which claybar to use? Mother's or Meguire's? I've had both and most recently Mother's. I found The Old Meguire's worked better but, remember the "Bad Batch" getting recalled a little over a year ago.

H'mmm I'll play with it a bit and see what happens, thanks...

yikes - sorry you took my post so seriously.

Didn't exactly think you were actually looking for other peoples opinions about your personal view through your rear view mirror. As for the brake dust - Mother's Clay Bar works great. I have a white Integra and it takes the brake dust right off.

Another tip; Lighten up a bit.

I like Clay Magic. It doesn't stick to the paint nearly as much as Mother's, I haven't tried the Meguire's.

Agreed. If you really took offense to it, just ignore it and don't even bother posting if you "don't give a ****." Anyways, the Mothers' Claybar and some elbow grease makes it look good as new. I don't know about you, but I can't stand the thought of brake dust and paint. I guess it depends on the pads though.
