Yesterday was a big UK Honda meet and here is my car with its new matt black Euro rims. The picture doesnt show the wheel detail but i'll get some better pictures at some point. I know this is getting boring stateside but no one else in the UK (well maybe one, a bit) has this look for their car.



What do you think?

 

I´ve always liked black wheels on the ITR... it looks though on this pic that the wheels arent 100% matt.. maybe it´s just the picture playing tricks.. looks good though

Its a UK Civic Jordan limited edition that came with CTR front and rear and in yellow. Its now running a B18c and Jun 3s etc etc Search for a post called Garage fun for more pictures and a genuine EK9....

My wheels are pretty much matt black but are treated slightly to stop them rotting in our beautiful weather......

I use those rims for my winter tires.... came with the car.

 

Wont yours be gunmetal though? These were white and they were shot blasted back to bare and then powder coated flat black. They are beautiful up close and are perfectly done...

 

Looks good, Ian (JDM with CF hood) has black wheels. I think it was you if you have a map on the back of you car that blew past me on the way home (JDM CW ITR with bronze rims), you would have been in a mini convoy of 3 with a civic R and a yellow civic (not sure of spec).

The 98 starlight black ITR came with black rims... The 99 with gunmetal.
The black stock rims only look good on cw ITR. On black they look shitty

Yeah that was us who came past you on the M40... We had been behaving quite well but then i saw those teg lights up ahead.... You were going far too slowly!! lol I was actually running on petrol fumes and was slightly concerned but still made south mimms and my regular diet of optimax. The map on the back is the Nurburgring outline... The exhaust sounds great and will sound even better when i remove the severly annoying rattling heatshields. It does apparently, according to the others, now spit flames too!! . Having great fun on the M25 through the tunnels around Jnc 26. Childish but fun!

The Civics are Ricardos and his mums.. Guess which is which!

Ians car does have black wheels (thats the one i refered to) but it also has some alluminium drying rack bolted to the back!!!

Really? Cool. I think in the UK we only ever got white and gunmetal wheels.... Are they they standard design as seen on Euro cars?

They look quite mean on the black car!

 

I only can speak for Germany... Don´t know about UK

 

 

I am just outside maidstone Eastmalling/Westmalling area.

Like I said the car sounded well sweet, gotta get me one of those pipes, and after seeing all the things people have done to there cars I can feel the modding bug starting to bite

damn.. this thread makes me REALLY want to look into UKDM or JDM black wheels, or just the wheels, they can be painted black.. anyone looking into this thread have any for sale?

The cw came with white and the Blackies came with black rims... I bought one, I should now

we have alot of DC2R's with matt black wheels....but ALL of them race the cars and do it to stop cleaning the wheels due to brake dust.

Yep. I painted it matt black because it became grey due to the Ferodo DS3000 brake pads... Now I don't have to clean the wheel anymore...

Thats all i really ask of a wheel...
I cant afford new wheels in a 16 or the suspension to compliment it yet so for now they are great. New look low price. Best of both worlds.
