a product made by Seymour Paints called CAST BLAST was used for manifold and charge pipes. Good to 1200 degrees, you can find it at any respectable auto restoration shop, Eastwood, has it for sure. Although it is not cheap, its the best paint ive ever used. Dries to touch in about 24 seconds (literally) at about 65 degrees ambient air temperature. i paid $19/can at a corvette restoration shop locally.

I would have to say boost is a fantastic feeling, i can only imagine how the b series guys must feel when boosted. I previously had nitrous, while effective and fun, you can't beat having boost 24/7. I am pleased with the greddy kits fit and finish.
For any sort of benchmark, set at 5.5 psi non intercooled, my brother proclaimed its greatly faster than his accord, which ran a 14.9. So my estimate would be around 14.7 at best. However, I do not drag the car. Suprisingly, I use this boosted Honda for Road Course work. On second note, I would really like to get a ride in a Supercharged SOHC civic, those must be really fun as well.
Dyno charts coming within the next few weeks. Plan on seeing a 8psi intercooled chart with stock internals soon.

how come i dont see a lot of greddy sohc users using the heat shield for the exhaust manifold?? is it a POS or is it just better to put thermal wrap on the AC lines??
BTW nice setup...ill be doin the same in about two days

The heatshield fitment on the 96+ is really wierd. Is doesnt quiet clear the AC/Condenser assembly, and the oil input line snags on it. You have to cut it a bit to get it to fit perfectly. By then, you have already taken a small heat shield to begin with, and made it smaller. I would suggest using one, it cant hurt. I guess I really dont think it matters that much to begin with/not determined enough to get it to fit. A hacked up heatshield kinda loses the clean lines on the engine bay. But if you can; use it. Otherwise they include enough heat wrap the cover the AC lines. And if you look at the clearance between header and AC lines, theres enough room to allow heat dissapation/protection with the thermal heat wrap included.

You shouldn't have any problems fitting the heatshield on. Got mine to fit perfectly. Do alittle rearranging and it should work. You may have to bend the heatshield alittle to clear the ac lines.

i would just like to clarify the heatshield fitment issues are for 96+ civics with AC. Perhaps there are some variances with the EL model. I not quite sure what you drive.
but Els do have a different radiator support-do they not? I'm not sure.
Furthermore, I do not doubt the fact they will fit, but as i stated earlier, I am not determined enough to get it to fit, and well, simply put, just dont care.
