Default side moldings, Paint them or lose them??

my car is going into the paint shop within the next couple months. should i paint the side moldings to match the body or leave them off with the indentations showing?? i just saw a hatch with the moldings removed and it looked pretty clean but i have a coupe im not sure what would look best. ???

Well if you keep them on...definately paint them. Personally I prefer cars that are have a stock appereance to them but are crazy fast....
Peace

Is it cheaper to paint them, or shave & weld them?

It is by far cheaper to paint them unless of course you plan on doing it yourself.
