Default Koni Yellows install question

ok... so how the heck do i get a brake line bracket onto the Koni's? The shock I have (silver ) has the bracket WELDED on.... I don't see how I can re-use it. I don't know if the brake line bracket can be purchase seperately

Have you called a dealer to confirm that you can't get the bracket separately from the shock? I would be surprised if you couldn't. Check that out, and if not then try to buy some off someone who put on a shock that has the bracket pre-installed.

I have to say that it is pretty cheap of Koni not to do that. Other similarly priced (and cheaper) shock have them custom made to your app. That was the biggest bitch when I installed my Yellows. Hope this helps.

the bracket itself cannot be purchased seperately. The dealer only sells it with the OEM strut. So, either find a friend that has some laying around, or go to the junkyard and pic them up.

No, it isn't welded. Lube it up with something that penetrates, then tap it off with a screwdriver and hammer. It was a REAL bitch for me. Getting them on the Koni's after that was an even bigger frustration. I had to take it to a shop and have them grind material out of the inside of the bracket so it could slide far enough up the shock body to get the damper fork back on.
