Type R injectors??
Ok, so lately i've been having a little trouble with my engine(b18c5). It runs great, but when i pull the spark plugs, #2 is noticeably whiter than the other 3 plugs, acutally #2 looks bone white
. So I thought it could be an injector problem and put some injector cleaner in the car. After a few hundred miles i check it. Plugs still look the same, so i decided to check the injectors. When i took them out, 2 of them look different from the other two.
Do i have mixed up injectors? I'm suppose have type r injectors, do you think this is causing the problem? The two yellow tipped injectors had cyliners that ran ok, and so did one with the brown tip. But the other brown tip injector seems to be running lean.

I dont really know what the blue or orange tips signify but the blue paint mark on the tops signifies the injector size, which is 240cc i think, so even though they may have differentr colored ends theyre all spraying the same amount
The orange tipped ones are GS-R injectors (the injectors from my GSR are that same yellowish/orange color)....the other two are Si injectors I believe.
I do not know what color Type R injector tips are however, so the orange or brown tips could be from a Type R. I am pretty sure the Si injectors have brownish/black
tips.
So, im going to go with you having 2 GS-R injectors and 2 Si injectors
Also, that blue paint does not signify injector size. 290cc prelude injectors have blue painted dots as well!

Si, GS-R and ITR injectors are the same. All bseries are the same cc. Fuel pressure is modified between them to add fuel.

My performance doesn't seem off. I'm just really worried about detonating that one cylinder. I guess i really need to go to dyno and check my a/f. Mike, gimme your vafc so i can richen the beotch up
Is it just me or does it seem like the orange caps (pinacles) are gone...those are all the same injectors ...two of them lost the caps...look in your intake mani and hope that they are in there..
EDIT: BTW, my OEM Injectors had orange tips too...

hmm... interesting. But im not sure the caps are missing. The reason is the two orange tip ones are marked NC somthing, while the orange tip ones are marked 0K02. What are yours marked? BTW, anybody know the fuel pressure of a type r? I may get a fpr seeing that i cannot afford a vafc right now.

More like a car bomb! Give the non-engrish speaking chinaman a break.
The two brown ones are labeled NC something and the two orange ones are 0K0. Thanks Brain

i'm a little late but..
Note sure if they have the same part #, but I'd assume so since they are all 240cc. (all bseries).
And yes, you could sell your ITR ones to owners of other bseries powered cars, but I don't see why they'd need them unless their's went south..
v00tecsi: performance is unchanged by using different injectors that are the same thing assuming neither is dirty/etc.
Si, GS-R and ITR injectors are the same. All bseries are the same cc. Fuel pressure is modified between them to add fuel. do they share the same oart number also? so if i were to sell ITR injectors, i oculd sell them to people with gs-r's and si's?
