Default crx si tranny with moded b16 questions

how well will a crx si tranny work on a modified b16. rebuild, bored, skunk 2 cams, adjustable cam gears, and much more engine makes about 212hp. its n/a with a lsd. are the gears going to be too short? looking for a 1/4 mile track car.

D-series tranny will not bolt-on to the B16 block. You need a b-series tranny.

Are you talking about a D16? If a B16 is making only 112hp, there is something incredibly wrong.

A D-series tranny will not bolt up to a B-series block.

If you have a highly modified b16 making 112 hp.. you need to drive your car off a cliff. There is something extremely wrong.. You will have to use a cable b16 tranny from japan or a gsr tranny from a 92-93 gsr or an ls tranny from a 90-93 integra

you can only use b series tranny with b series motors.. cant swap them. and two.. 112 hp for a b16 youve done something majorly wrong... stock crx si's come with about 110 hp, b16's come with around 160 crank hp.

you are mentally ill. j/k--112 hp from a b16 is f&*king pathetic. Sounds like its 'highly demodified' to me.

If our man here has yet to get a transmission, I would be very surprised to find that he has run it on an engine dyno and we know he hasn't run it on a chassis dyno. My guess is he wrote 112 with his foot in his mouth or someone has sold him a pile of manure. AH, to be new to the sway game again.

you need a bseries tranny. i'm not sure if you need different axels and hubs or not but you need a bseries tranny. now that i think about it you'll need different axels because the bseries uses a halfshaft axel... i think?

Try to find a Jdm S1 tranny (sometimes comes with the B16a1) it has the same gearing as the integra type-r so it will be better for an all-motor application. Not all Y1's came with a LSD. Try to stay away from the 90-93 Integra tranny, because of their longer gears, especially if you want to race your car. I had the Integra tranny in my car and ended up finishing the 1/4 mile in third with 2.7 60 foots, not very good. And you'll need to use 90-91 Integra axles for the swap.

I was reading your post again and if you ment S1 not Si then it should be all good.
