I just got my turbo installed. Just wanted to share some pics. I got a full greddy kit, upgraded piping, td04 turbo, turbo Xs BOV, Ex intake manifold port and polished. big front mount intercooler ( painted black so did not take a pic cause you cant see it .

 

SOHC + boost =

 

why turbo a single cam motor? those motor are useless. if its a stock d16 with turbo, i guranteed you a eg hybrid will kill it. you should of invest it into a b series motor then take on from there.

 

maybe some people like being different? D series motors have potential. Dont worry dude, it looks nice, I like it and am glad you do to. I wouldnt take anything offensively said by someone who thinks their plug wires and plugs count as mods anyways

i never seen a fast d series turbo car, the fastest was mid 13s.
i once saw an all motor b16 spank one.

 

170 whp... stock single cam with turbo. 1500... 150 some odd horse at the wheels.... stock gsr motor in a EK. 3800 for a full swp with shipping...plus 500 for install.... ****... i did the math in my head.... Which one would you choose???

oh and if you inventive... you can just throw a 300 dollar turbo setup on a single cam using used dsm parts and honda parts... and put down more than a gsr...

haha, yeah a buddy of mine showed me the mag and I saw it... It's crazy to think you can do it for that cheap so im gunna try my *** off to find the parts... they even gave a parts list... haha... good stuff

I have a friend with a fully built ls vtec in a 95 civic coupe. we raced from about 20 up to 80 he pulled me by about 2 cars is all.
I also have a friend with a jdm b16 in his 92 cx hatch with all fuel upgrades and bolt ons and i pulled him by a fender on 6 psi. then he shot nos the 2nd time and messed me up.................
I also beat a friend with a ls motor in the same year hatch as me but he is fully gutted and sheetmetaled his rear section. but it a obd0 ls motor that runs like ****. so im not going to brag about how much i beat him by
Oh yea by the way its not tuned and my tires dont have any tread on them and the biggest thing is its all going through my stock DX exhaust.

looks good, looks like mine, i suggest the AEM EMU if you are serious about tuning and making great power. Forget everyone who says the D-series sucks...that just pisses me off to no end, but whatever you did your own thing more power to you.

I've never seen a fast boosted sohc in person..but i think they could have some potential if built right

 

there are about 4 or 5 boosted SOHC civics around here and they arent slow.

Theres a guy around here who pushes 10 psi on a stock d-series motor and has had no probelsm since he had. He's had it for a long while to.

yea, a coupe with a boosted d16 gave my friend's h22 hatch a good run. he still lost, but it pulled hard.
