type r lsd.....broke after 4 days???? should I reinstall another
Well about a week ago I dropped off my car to jotech due to my engagement point of my clucth acting strange. Turns out one of the mainshaft bearings shattererd causing it to wiggle around in the housing. Well I got the bearing replaced and installed a typr r lsd along with new ACT street disk and xx pressure plate. Good to go....well I thought.
We went to the track last night.....first run I ran 8.9 with a 2.1 60 ft. Yea next run i didnt even make it one foot!! Launched at about 5700rpm and broke immediatley. Turns out some metal shavings from the shattered bearing got into the lsd diff and tore it up. My question is how can i assure that i don't run into this situation again. Jotech informed me they took a magnet to the trannmy and got as much of the shavings as they could but i dont wanna go spend another $1000 to be inthis same situation a week from now!!

why don't you just rebuild it and get it get it varsaled when the tranny is down, thats what i would do if it was me then you have a new tranny and a clean one and don't take the chance
