ive been having problems with my b18a1 swap... i have fuel now but still no spark... all my grounds check out to be ok same with all my fuses.......... it seems like either no power to the dizzy or ecu.. i have a aftermarket tach when i crank it it stays on 0 so that leads me to think that theres no power ......or ign output. so i dont know any help would be great

i put a new ignitor and coil in last nite...... thats waht i thought too. thanks for your input... anyother ideas?

 

Does the ECU light come on?

 

theres no cel or code on the ecu

 

check the coil with a multi-meter

 

i put a new coil in too...thanks any more ideas?

 

redid all grounds and new cap.. runs now. thanks for all the help

 

What kinda car did you do the swap in?

Did you have to repin the distributor wires at all?

sometimes people mix up the 2 white wires, that look identicle, you could try swapping them around.

yeah its a b18a1 into a 89 dx .... i did th mpfi wires awhile ago when i did the mpfi swap ran great....... the problem ended up being a bad cap. now im faced with a new problem the car doesnt seem to rev very high nore hit the rev limiter at all.......... it seems very slow also... i have no ecu codes also..

Do you have another distributor you can test on the car? It wont let you rev?

 

i dont have another dizzzy,.,,,... ah yeah it doesnt seem to rev high at all and theres no rev limiter either my tach is not working so i dont know how high its going prob not high enough to hit the limiter.... plus its really slow so i m very stumped

 

seems like somthing is holding it back... its like there is no power.
