Default ? - Why is everybody selling their beloved cars... - ?

Yesterday, I was looking around the forums, and saw an unusual amount of ITRs for sale.

Why are you guys selling? Insurance too high? Maintenance too much? Car problems? Not interested anymore? Or...?

For example, here are some recent posts of ITRs for sale:

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=416660
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=424463
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=449540
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=445577

That's just a few. It's kind of weird to me, as if I had an ITR, I would keep it, considering it was kind-of available in limited quantities across North America, and I presume it would be worth quite a bit in the future.

I know this is a wacky idea, but 3 out of 4 of those posts contained the damned reason they were selling. READ THE FUGGEN POSTS.

The other one was a "testing waters" waste of bandwidth.

Ahhh mine is first on the list.. BUY IT!

I'm going to miss it, but my two year old can't stand the noise on the interstate and I can't afford 3 car payments with the second kid going into daycare..

Unless someone wants to fund me or I win the lottery, the R is going..

Go easy on Dave, he is right..

Store it in the garage until the kid gets old enough to drive a power wheel. Then he can drive that along the I-state.

It really hurt me to trade my ITR in. I loved that car. It came to the point where I couldn't justify making a car payment for a car that sat in my garage all the time. I decided that for my money it would make more sense to have a car that I could drive everyday and not worry about it. The ITR is an incredible car that I won't forget. I am just glad I do not have the burden of worrying about it all the time.

Nah, I'm an ******* everyday.

What the hell did you expect when you post a question with links to the answer? You wanted us to repeat their answers? Why? So you could not read them here either?

And if you had read GarageQueen's reply, it isn't just about the noise, he also can't afford 3 car payments + expenses of caring for his family, if that's not a damned good reason to sell something I don't know what is (ok, maybe selling a kid.. he does have another.. )

io: heh I was being "soup ****" for awhile, now soup **** is being "Dave-ROR"

Relax buddy. I didn't see the reasons in the posts. And even if I did, the topic was not listed only towards those who are currently selling their R's in the Vehicles for sale section, but to the ones who have sold, or are thinking of.

Stop acting like you've accumulated all the available knowledge in the world, and try to be a little less narrowminded. If you have accumulated all the ******' knowledge, then go write a thesis or something smart a$$.

Damn. When I graduated high school, I was driving a van, for cheaper insurance rates. Sold my beloved Chevy Lumina a while ago, and went the step-up to a '00 Civic Si (CDN Model). Now I'm looking to buy either a Type R (too high insurance), a new Civic Si hatch (looks fugly), or a Prelude SH (don't like the headlights - but cheapER on insurance).

CTR is on the way. My cosuion went to Honda school today and the instructors told him its confirmed. Just not the pricing or anything yet. You should add that to your list of possibilities.

Has my dream finally come true? Or am I still sleeping? Is it coming to Canada aswell. Because the Si/SiR hatches are selling like **** here.

I think they should just stop producing them, and throwing in the RSX Type-S (CTR) motors instead, with a beefed up suspension, five lug, and nice body styling.

If they come to Canada, the coupe is going up for sale - and the CTR will be in my hands.

If you are talking about the CTR, I think you mean nightmare.
