What is your EGT at wide open throttle???
1600 is too hot. Your running too lean. Add more fuel.

If your fuel is anywhere close to 12:1, then 1600 is way too high. We have similar setups and I run 1200f at WOT.
If you over retard you timing you will raise your EGT. That is a pretty common tuning error when running high boost.

~1200 F, 5th gear will get a little hotter
Running too much retard can also give you a false reading of lean or rich because the fuel doesn't have enough time to burn inside the chamber and will finish burning off in the exhaust giving you a higher EGT while your a/f may indicate rich.

well then break out the chemistry books and do the math to convert, if you can put in the guage, you can do the math....... or if you're lazy, buy another guage
