Highway CEL
I ran a search on this because I thought someone would have asked this before, but nothing came up.
The last two times I drove on the highway, within two minutes of hitting 70 I get a CEL. I pull over, check my fluids and smell for anything that smells like burning - but everything is ok. Turning off the car, even for 2 seconds, will fix the light. I don't get this when I just do some city driving. Anyone have an idea?

I'm not sure about the code - I'm about to check that out at Autozone or at my friends shop. Will it still have the code if the CEL isn't on? Like I said, turning off the car turns off the light.

OK - so I did the wire thing and got a code 12. I looked it up and it's an EGR problem. The only thing that I can think of that would impact this is that I put on an AEM CAI. Is this a terrible CEL that I can't live with? Is there something I can readjust with the CAI to get this to go away? Thanks.
The EGR system has nothing to do with the intake (unless you unplugger the EGR valve or one of its solenoids in the installation process).
If the plugs are all correct, I did a write up on disabling that system. Dont know if itll help (when I did it I didnt have a CEL on).
