liquid wrench? And, try to raise the height before trying to lower it. Should be easier to use the spring tension to break the seizing (by raising the height).

The shocks are already out of the car. Springs and uppermount are both taken apart from the shock..... The perches just got stuck to the threads.....

Use a punch, and a hammer. Be sure to use a "rounded" end style punch so it doesnt crack the perch. This has happened to me a few times.

G'luck.

Hit a few of the surrounding threads with a wire brush on a dremel. Shoot the collar with PB Blaster and let it soak for at least 10 minutes. Give it a whack as Brian suggested with a punch, and it should spin easily.

jack up the car and take the wheel off so the weight is off the spring.

spray PB blaster or anti-seize (found at a local hardware store) and let it soak for a bit so it can break down the corrosion. use a flathead and a rubber mallet to loosen the perch. good to go

Thanks everyone for the input. I just woke up. Let's get some'n to eat first so I have energy to battle with those damn perches again.....

I can't heat it up as the shock body has a warning on it that says Do Not Heat. Quick checklist:
dremel with wire brush (check)
PB blaster (nope)
hammer/rubber mallet (check)
round head punch (nope)
<head to the hardware store>

I'll let you guys know how it turns out!

How do you guys rank these juices:

WD40
Liquid Wrench
PB Blaster

I have all 3 in the garage now. No luck with WD40 and Liquid Wrench. I would try PB Blaster later and hopefully I won't die from inhaling the mixture of the 3....

WD40 is designed primarily as a water displacement lubricant (hence the name), not as a loosener. Go with one of the other two.

PB Blaster works the best in my experience.

Aight, here's how it turned out.

These are the #(*$&@)^(*& shocks that were taken out of the car. Although they "look" rusted, they are actually pretty good. Not a single spot of rust on the threads:

The wrenches that came with the suspension kinda sucked. I need more leverage so here it goes:

With the help of the PB Blaster and those steel pipe wrenches, the perches on this shock came loose :

BUT I was only succeeded to completely loosen 2 shocks on the passenger side. The 2 shocks on the driver side, I could only loose one of the 2 perches on each shock. When one of them was loosen, I could no longer use it to resist rotation of the shock as I tried to turn the wrench. So I clamped down the shock body with the pipe wrench, and use another pipe wrench to loosen the seized perch.

Nope couldn't free them. I also tried the punch and hammer method but still didn't work. It was so tight that the shock body was damaged at where I clamped it down. The shell was all scratched up and the metal clip for brake hose was bent as well. I then installed the shocks back onto the car, and tried to turn/punch the perch again. Still didn't work and I bent the little piece of metal that slides into the opening of the fork.... Maybe I was too tired and getting weak I dunno. Anyway, I didn't want to further damage the shock so I just left it.

Good thing is that the ride heights are still at where I like it to be, just that the rear is slightly higher than I want. I would try again later this week and see if I can loosen them again. Better buy 2 more bottles of PB Blaster!

Here are a few more pics from and after the install:
