Default b18c swap: 4-1 or 4-2-1 headers

Ok it now seems that i'm going the NA route, so i'm curious, is it reccomended that i go the 4-1 header or will the 4-2-1 do me just fine...also clearance is a huge issue for me, i already occasionally scrape on things and my car is lowered about 1.5", if at all posssible i don't want anything hanging lower than my oil pan (or at least my stock header location)...oh and if it helps i'm using HCP mounts.

any suggestions?

it really all depends on your set up and application...4-1 gives you better top end and 4-2-1 a bit of both. Can't have it both ways so its up to you to decide. With regards to fitment, the DC brand header seems to be your best bet then once again, performance is another issue. From experience, I have nothing bad to say about using a jdm 4-1 header, for price and performance, in fact, I was so pleased with it that I bought 2 for each of my motors and just got me a header shield (top and bottom) for protection.

4into one is a biatch to put in if you have a one piece header and a b series motor.
Just some friendly advise. But what ls vtec said is right on the money.

Sorry to hoard this thread...but to answer your Q's...havent gone to the track yet but I plan on going soon. I've been busy autocrossing...Anyway, for next years smog check, I plan on putting my stock exhaust manifold and CAT and getting Hondata retuned for cleaner emissions. It should pass...keep your fingers crossed.
