im new at this turbo game,, need some help..
hey guys.....im thinkin of building a "junkyard turbo" but am kind of confused.. when i searched i found some interesting things but no info on the fuel management.....for example if i had a turbo from a sabb what kind of manifold and wastegate would i need? or does the wastegate come with the sabb turbo do i have to buy it seperatly??for the fmu whats a good one for cheap.. i have a 94 dx and im just lookin for a little boost and my budget is small as of now.. will i need to upgrade my injectors if i dont increase the stock level of boost or what?? and help would be appreciated or some info on setups .. thank you i really appreciate your time..
-manifold: buy one of mine...will be ready next week.
-injectors- dsm 450cc's out of a manual turbo talon or eclipse...generation doesnt matter. You will need a resistor box out of whatever car you nab the injectors off of, or an 88-91 Civic.
Management- get an SMC+ to control everything...
If you still have the Saab available, get the BOV, Intercooler, and some piping off of it. The BOV is a standard bosch unit, and should work fine.
you wont need an FMU if you use the 450cc injectors...
the Saab Turbos have an internal wastegate, so no need for buying a wastegate.
If you still have the car, this shouldnt run you much over $600 for everything. Otherwise youre looking at about a grand. If you want boost, you gotta pay.
