I hear from many h-t members that they blow very often...that is why I would not recommend them although I have no first had experience with them.

I'm with Sylvestar for low beams and happy with them.

They work nicely as is, Silverstars are probably the best bulb replacement upgrade you can get. I wouldn't bother with the whole 9005 conversion junk. Just put the bulbs where they are supposed to go. I like mine alot, and don't have to be worried about melting my harness like with the cheap 80W bulbs.

i use them in the high beams. I don't use them enough to worry about them dying anytime soon and I kinda messed up one of the stock ones (for the record, glass tubes do break when you drop **** on them hehe)

i just put those on my civic... they look too yellow to me and close to stock color. i wish they had just a slight blue color.. although the beam pattern does seam to spread out better then stock

i agree. i had the 9005 silverstar conversion on my headlights...the drivers side bulb blew out after 6 months and i replaced it with a stock 9005 bulb conversion and the output is nearly identical...the silverstar just lays down slightly less yellow light.

the 9006 are a much better improvement over stock, wider spread of light and much whiter and clearer
