Exhaust cut-out in bumper...Any Advice or suggestions?
Im putting on my A'pexi 3" exhaust this next week and I have had it on, but it set's 2" too high.... So I cant bolt the rear section on.
now... how and with what do you suggest i cut the factory bumper with? I was thinking my dremel...or die grinder with my porting bit.. I dunno. Also how do I keep the plastic from getting frayed and messed up? thanks

becuase...they suggested using "prelude hangers" and that would make it sit way too low. And Im allready set on hiding the majority of the muffler behind the bumper. sort of sleeperish....ya know?
If they aren't willing to weld up some hangers to put it at the level you want, drive down the road to the next muffler shop. "the customer is always right"
I want to "HIDE" the muffler. OK Im not going to get it rewelded or the hangers moved. I want to cut my bumper OK? So.....what do you guy suggest I use?

use a dremel to make the first rough cut. Then use spray adhesive to adhere a piece of sand paper to the outside of a 3" hole saw. Sand that thing till it's perfect. Start with a medium grit, and work your way to fine.
You could just have the exhaust tip exchanged for just a pipe that points down. Then you would have nothing showing.
Other wise, ya a dremel or even a small hack saw to get it going. Its pretty easy to cut that stuff. The only thing to consider is that if you cut the bumper you'll have to worry about the paint chipping where the edge is. Adding a sealer of some kind, like superglue or something to the cut edge may help.
When some dumb b|tch rear ended me the cop let me borrow his pocket knife and I cut my bumper off right there on the side of the highway
