Ok.....i have a 87 Accord LX-i. I have been thinking about putting some injector cleaner in the gas. and Mavels mistery oil in the oil..would it hurt more than it would help....would it help me get some horsepower back.

This is what is also known to people at the miracle pill ! There are exceptions to the rule ,but hardly if ever will you get any more horse power then stock with adatives to your car. Yeah you might get 1-3 hp but look at how much some of that stuff costs. and to have to change and throw away what ever adative you put in your fuel tank and oil. Dont get me wrong some stuff does work but for how long..

thats like people selling you a pill to loss weight, but to have it come back in a few weeks and not only did you gain the weight back you are out a few bucks too.

i would just hand clean the fuel injectors and the oil if it's burning alot of oil then i would recomend looking at the valve stem rings and also the piston rings and replace them you would get more out of that then adding expensive oil in your engine.

hope that helped

3rd gen, probably wont give u any noticeable HP but might help the engine run alittle smooth if your injectors are in fact dirty
