Default B20 CRXs?

I know it can be done, and i have the lower half the frank-monster now... my question is what head should i use... whats the reliability on it... and yes the motor is being built by pros... i just want to hear stories and opinions other then my motor builder, cause he is just a little norrow minded... cause he really thought i should run an H22 (lol i like the sheet metal where it is thanks!)
The swap is being done in a 1990 CRX Si.... thanks!

Ditto. Build the block and get FFGeoff's full race turbo kit.
I have been kicking around the idea of selling my crvtec and building a nonvtec b20 with Geoff's kit.

-or-

Get a b16 head and install itr internals, port and polish, get some 11.5:1 pistons and Eagle rods.

EDIT: I like my motor, but it is kinda mediocre. I want more, but I dont want to dump any more $$$ into this motor.

why is it that people are against vtec+turbo, nothing wrong with both. i'd go vtec for now, it's really amazing how much pull it has all the way through the gears. then later on you can slap a turbo kit on there.

I am not against vtec, its just that it takes more $$$ to do the vtec conversion.
You could put that money towards more boost.

Well i'd like to build it to honda challenge spec so turbos are out and high compression is out... but vtec is not. Everyone says B16 head... so thats where i am leaning. I got the motor real cheap from a guy who had some money issues... so my investment is minimal right now and i will have money to burn on the vtec head soon. I love paying to much in taxes!

it's not expensive to go vtec, if you're going turbo you obviously have atleast 1500$ to put into it, for another 400$ you can get a b16 complete head and some gsr cams. and the oilline and crap to convert it. 400$ for about 25+hp is not to bad of a deal.

I already had a B16A setup in my CRX. I then bought the B20 longblock and built up the B20 bottom end. Then parked the car, tore it all out, had the B16A head ported and polished and prepped for VTEC (I had the oil hole welded in), then installed it all together. I'm still even using the B16A ecu but with 92-96 Prelude VTEC injectors.

go with a gsr head, there's one at a local shop here in a 99 hatch. with h/i/e and fuel pressure reg it ran a 13.5. extremely clean car, very nicely done.
