what's exactly bad? imo id just do a mini-me or dpi->mpfi conversion if the head is bad.

story: bought the car, it had sat for a year or so. had no compression in ANY cylinders. bought a used si head (90k miles) for 75 dollars. put it on the block. ran great for 2 days. driving down the turnpike the oil light came on and 3 min later a connecting rod broke. i just sold my prelude, so i only have this car to drive. i have to drive to school and work. need a car. i have a spare d15b2 block that i could put in on friday. i just tore the car down, ready to pull the motor on friday.

the car: 91 civic wagon rt4wd, has mpfi and stock d16a6 motor.

the not broken block: d15b2 (140k)
the hopfully not broken head: d16a6 (90k)

im looking for a d16a6 block or complete head, because the car was supposed to be turboed by summer. so i need a good condition block to build now. i have found a few but more options are welcome.

back to the original post:

-mpfi
-d15b2 bottem
-d16a6 top
-everything is stock

i think the comp is 9.2:1 on the d15b2 compaired to 9.1:1 on the d16a6. what do you guys think the outcome of this whack hybrid will be?

slow + shisty gas mileage is my guess.

the only way to find out is to try it. because ive never heard of that mini me swap. i have a d15b7 with a vtec head im slappin together soon. but yours in theory should work and maybe give some added performance. maybe. try it and post up you results.

its more of a lesser preformance for the car, since it should have a d16a6 block in it. but its cheap and almost free.

That is exactly what a mini-me is.

Back to the subject. I don't think gas milage will be that bad, but I'm sure the power will be sacrificed. Why not just buy a z6? They start at around $300. Or even another A6. there is someone on here with a AWD wagon that is z6 Turbo I think??? Is it CIVICWAGONMAN? His wagon is the shizzle ma Nizzle
Whatever you decide. It's your car

i might goto the junker to look for a a6...but still more money than i wanted to spend on this piece. i had a turbo project going...but it came to a quick halt.

same castings, it'll bolt right up dawg. if you want send the a6 block out for some serious upgrading. If i were you i'd bolt it up and then buy some 75mm or 75.5mm pistons that have a deep dish and turbo.
