I gotta change one of those stupid amber light bulbs behind the climate center console. I looked in the Helms and it didn't help. I know there are two small screws on the bottom/underside of the console, do I have to remove them cause they are the only ones Id image that have to come off???

This is on a 2000 Civic Si.

Thanks guys .. BTW the bulb was 5.00 from the dealer and its no bigger than my finger nail!!

On my 96, I believe I removed a couple screws on the bottom, and then had to remove the hazard switch and defrost up top to access more screws (to replace that whole bezel), removed the temp slider arm, removed a plug and then i could access both bulbs. I think it might be a little different than a 99-00 tho.

OK, here you go. To remove the climate control you must remove the entire radio/climate control console as a unit. to do so you first need to remove the lower dash panel. there are the two obvious screwsfacing upwards in the bottom of it, also there are two screws on each side of it. To access those screws you have to take off the left side knee bolster (part that holds the fuse panel door) and open the glove box to gain access to the other two screws. after the 6 scres are removed you can unplug the access. socket and remove the panel(sometimes its kinda tough to get it out with the center consloestill in). Now facing upwards in the area you have opened up are 4 8mm bolts that need to be removed. After these four bolts are removed you can remove the entire assembly by pulling firmly on it to release the 8 or so clips that hold it in the dash. Hope this helps a little at least.
