Ok getting ready to throw something together to power my EGG.

Setup is Ls-Vtech HAHA just kidding

Have the LS block already, I know Ls vtec this and that but lets just put that all aside for now. Going to use stock rods with CTR Pistons and all ARP hardware.

Going to use a 1st gen b16a head (is there a disadvantage in the 1st gen?) With CTR CamOla's.

Block is already prepped for and ready for the head to be slapped on. Its honed, cleaned all that good junk.

Any opinions on installing oil squirters? Yay or Nay?

will be using a Stock Ls trans for now but that will be next.

In a bit of time I will be using an AEM plug and play, but for now budget only allows for a stock or chipped ECU. Anyone recommend an ECU? I was thinking JDM R?


Anything I am missing? Any concerns I should be aware of? I have built a few motors but this will be the first Ls Vtec from scratch.

Compression is going to be right around 12:2/12:3 (track car) so maybe the idea of a stock ECU is out?
