Jun valvetrain w/Skunk2 stage 2 cams????
Ok i bought a head already built with jun valve springs and retainers.I was going to get some jun3 cams but i heard they are on back order and are 200bux more that the skunk2 cams.I also heard that the specs of both cams are almost identical. My question is will I have problems running skunk2 stage2 cams with my jun valvetrain?
I did a search but didnt really find my answer, most say run the the same valvetrain but thats not the answer im looking for.Thanks.Here are the specs of the head.

Most tend to keep the same valvetrain and cams, I know I would just to avoid issues. I know some have had problems running mix and match set ups. An all motor junkie would prolly know better though, Im just a boosted fool. Good Luck though.
the specs are similar, and as usual it is reccommended to run the whole package. But, I would say it is going to be safer to run the SK2 II's on that head over Crower or some other brands.
Everyone says "run x cams with x valve springs, yada yada". The reason why people say that is cause supposedly if something goes wrong, then the company will back you up. Thats not true. There are too many variables involved with installing cams and valvesprings.
And i'm sure jun designs their valvesprings specific for jun cams because the jun 3's are notorious for snapping even with jun valvesprings.
I say get toda if you have the money or portflow makes good products too.

Right now, my car has 72,000 miles. I installed my jun cams with jun valvesprings and crower titanium retainers when I had 29,000 miles. So I currently have about 43,000 miles on them with no issues.
Oh yea the head ported and milled .0020 over
