my rear-mount battery hit metal, what now
i have a battery in the back of my car and it has no cover on it, last night it tipped over and the positive hit the bare metal in the back. Now my car has NO power, no fuses are blown and we tried jumping it, what else could be wrong.
There are 2 or three main fuses in the under hood fuse box. (near the passengers side strut)
50 or 60 amp ones.
That's what blew.

i am almost 100% positive its just the main battery fuse...its not the normal plug in fuses, in your main fuse box in the engine bay its one of the ones that screws in. look at the diagram to see which one is the main batt, go to autozone or something and buy the replacement for like 2.99 and im pretty sure it will work...good luck.
ok i will try tomorrow, i visually checked them, it looks like you would be able to tell if they were blown by looking at the top of them, is it possible that the wire i ran back could be fried?

anythings possible, from experience, when you think it is something big to fix, it is usually small, vise versa. let us know what the problem is. I am planning to put mine in the back but its going to be strapped down before I go anywhere. Just in case though. Let me know what happened.
probably a fusible link, one of the big ones near the pass strut tower in that u shaped box. ive blown a few over the years and your car wont do crap when one blows.look real good,i think theres 3 or 4.
good news-they're cheap
