Default Somebody asked about powdercoating...

And I recommended boneheadperformance.com.

(Sorry couldn't find the originial thread).

Well, be careful, this is the last time I send something out, from now on I'll go back to the local place.

There was also a small piece cracked off from the edge where the gasket fits into. Guess they dropped it or something. There's a flaw in it, but you can't see it in the pic and is the least of my concerns.

Waiting to hear back from them on this stuff.

Well, in so many words:

1. The broken part must have been there when it got here (Not really)
2. The blemishes are from casting, you can't see them under the factory paint (I sandblasted it before I sent it)
3. Sorry you're unhappy with the color you chose, if you pay for shipping we'll recoat it another color (not happy with the color I chose, I'm unhappy with the color I actually got)
4. (no response to the tons of excess powder left on the underside)

I hate to bash companies, Stupidfast is my 5th small business, but damn. Honestly, when something like this comes up it's easier and better to bite the bullet and say "it's all my fault, what can I do to fix it?".

Here's the blemish, and yes, there are some rough cast spots, which don't bother me, but this isn't one of them:

man, what a shitty job. you would probably yield a better result if you spray paint the valve cover yourself.

how much did they charge you??.......Yeah i think that if you are unhappy they should be willing to recoat it for free or for a minimal charge.
