Default ITR intake cam only or intake and exhaust cams ?

Ive been researching and I cant come to any conclusion. For the GSR, with stock internals and stock redline -- do you benefit more from just replacing the intake cam with the itr cam, or does replacing both cams provide more power? It would make sense to me that changing both would give more power but someone said just replacing the intake cam makes more power?? is this true?

This guy is saying he bumped 11hp with just the intake cam... I'd like to know what kind of increase are you guys making. TIA

Do both dude, your getting more air into your cylinders so you gotta get the increased amount of exhaust out too.

CTR intake cam is more aggressive than the ITR intake cam, the exhaust cams on ITR and CTR are the same.

CTR cams differ only with the 1997-1999 ITR cams at the intake VTEC lobe duration ( they have only 3 degrees longer duration.) The intake max lift are identical. The exhaust cams for both are identical.

The 2000-2001 ITR cams are identical to CTR cams.

Save some dough and get the USDM ITR cams.

Here's all three for your comparision:

STOCK GSR : b17a and b18c1 (Chilled Cast Core)

INTAKE lift - 10.6 mm,duration - 230 @1mm
EXHAUST lift - 9.4mm, duration - 227@1mm

1. ITR/CTR (Chilled Cast Cores)

- STOCK 1997-1999 ITR ($500-580/pr, ITR intake cam $250-290)

INTAKE lift - 11.5 mm, duration 240 @1mm
EXHAUST lift - 10.5mm, duration 235 @1mm

- STOCK CTR and 2000-2001 ITR (CTR intake cam $300-350)

INTAKE lift - 11.5 mm, duration 243 @1mm
EXHAUST lift - 10.5mm, duration 235 @1mm

Special thanks to Tuan from TI.

Thanks for the info guys.

Does anyone know why the product number is the same for 2000-2001 and 97-99 ITR cams at acuraautomotiveparts? maybe they just sell the newer camshaft specs for both?
