Hey, I have a 98 gsr and I have a problem that sometimes when i turn on my car it struggles to turn on and i have to keep giving it gas for about 30seconds-1minute, if i don't the revs go under 1g and it struggles and dies. By itself it never goes over 1g, as in the car doesn't attempt to keep the revs up when i turn it on, i always have to manually press the gas. I have intake, jg header(missing an exhaust bolt from header to cat and it is leaking air), greddy evo, 95 obd1 ecu, skunk 2 intake valves(installed by jotech which I believe they could have fucked up) They cracked my gauge cluster and denied it!

 

maybe there is something wrong with the idle, usually the ECU will tell the engine to idle at higher RPMs to warm up when you just start it.

it might also be something with the fuel delivery.

I'm not sure, but those are some of the ideas that come to mind.

have you checked your plugs, wires, cap and rotor? is your O2 sensor ok? is there a check engine light? how many miles on car...

 

the check engine light has came on once but it turned off, 82000, how do i check if the o2 sensor is ok?

 

OMG same exact crap happen to me tonight.

If your check engine came on, jump the service connector, and I bet you will get a code 14. That is the IAC or EAC. I have not figured it out yet because I am so damn frustrated from being in the garage for about 20 hours today and yesterday combined. (seriously)

the same thing happenes to me. i have a 92 ls with 158k miles. it always bogs and dies after it is parked for a long period of time. so hopefully what ever you do to fix urs will also fix mine
