this is really weird, i just put on my filter and it wont build full boost. 1st 4psi 2nd 5psi 3rd 5psi then the turbo cuts out. Without the filter it builds 9psi no problems. if anyone knows why it would do this or know of any problems related to this that would be great

 

sounds as if your filter is far too restrictive, can you give us more details on the turbo and filter type/size/age/condition?

Ok so it's a brand new filter, what size is it? What kind is it?

 

3 inch pipe, and no name greddy lookin filter

 

check the filter it self the element should be at least little oily

 

Sounds like a topspeed filter...Is it a foam filter??

 

 

try this s&B one we have 3inch inlet one we have i think that one works better than the other universal ones
