How much power does the lcd need to run? I have no idea. Splicing into the radio power is probably fine if consumption is low, less than 30watts.

um...run the wire to an open fuse spot and add a fuse and a +12V power when the key is on. or just run that wire into an existing fuse.

*edit--or just take it to a shop and have them hook it up for you before you hurt yourself or mess up your car.

I don't think that he was trying to be funny. Have you done any types of installs before?

Monitors aren't much more difficult than a headunit. Just run your wires to the fuse boxes like they said.

I think i'll just splice the power from the deck for my lcd, and hook up the dvd to my cig lighter plug, so its easy to take out.

you can ground it somewhere..and hook it to a switch..and run the switch to the battery...you could even throw in a fuse holder in there to protect your LCD...or you can hook it up straight behind your deck...to a remote wire..and ground it...its upto you...
