Default problems starting 88 crx si

I left the lights on so I figured I just needed a jump, jump didn't work, in fact 3 jumps didn't work
I replaced the starter today and had the battery recharged, started the car up, it cranked and started fine, I let it run a while, turned it off to get something from my room come back try to start it and presto no crank no nothing, could this be either a battery thats not holding a charge, bad connection or both

anyone dealt with something similiar to this?

Check to make sure you are getting a good ground, The ground wire runs from the battery down to the unibody then on to the transmission and a 10mm bolt there. If that connection is corroded, car no start!

Also be sure that the wire from the valve cover to the area above the head light is also present with good connections.

To fix a corrosion problem, use some sand paper to freshen the contact points and coat with a lite coat of grease.

Alternator
probably not. if the alternator was bad, the car would slowly die as it ran (battery would die and not get charged) my guess is the battery. test it with a load tester. it should register about 12.6x volts and, when loaded, not drop below 10 volts. I'm thinking that, since you deep-cycled your battery (totally drained it), then it is ka-put.
