Legality of stripping the interior of a pre airbag car
Is it legal to strip the complete interior of a pre airbag car? I'm talking everything but 2 seats, stock seatbelts, shifter, gauge cluster, rear view mirror, steering wheel, and pedals.
Would stripping the vehicle cause it to fail inspection or cause the police to issue fix it tickets?
this is a common way to loose weight in your vehicle so someone has to know of the legal ramifications..
Thanks

the questions i posed might be too broad, because of the varying laws from state to state.
Has anyone ever been hassled for their stripped interior or been issued a ticket?

As far as I know in CA its not illegal to strip your car. I have had my hatch stripped competly but the dash and never got hasseled. But all cops are different, fix-it tickets are not that bad.
i never had a problem with my ef, its funny when the cops want to inspect my car for drugs/alcohol/guns/etc. because its real quick with only a racing seat and no carpet. haha...

I've got a 1992 GSR that came with no air bag (even though all other integras came with bags that year) and I have never ever been questioned about it. And beleive me I have had my share of tickets
