Gathering info on turbo
Hey guys... what's up. Just wondering where I can gather info on finally getting a turbo. I'm actually getting one yet - haven't decided my next move - so I want to look into the whole thing first, see how 'on the cheap' a turbo can be done - homebrew of course - and then compare my options
.
So on that note, where can I find things like compressor VE maps? Hondata tuning options? Info on which cam is best for turbo? Info on basic turbo installs? How to check if the engine is in a good enough state of repair for a turbo install? I want to do this on the cheap but not ghetto-rigged - I plan on doing Hondata with only a small amount of boost, driveability is a must.
I'm also the DIY type, so this will REALLY be a homebrew job
Thanks to anyone who has info or can point me in the right direction!

My advise is to do your homework (as much research as possible). Turbocharging your car will not be a cheap project and you want to do it right the first time. HT is the best place to get your research done.
I would search here for terms like "overlap", "hondata", "tuning", etc. You can find good Hondata tuners here and at http://www.hondata.com/ . I would recommend doing ALLOT of research before you put ANY money into your setup. Set some power goals (Example: 280WHP) and a budget (Example: $5,000).
