Default Will an EX Header fit a DX.....?

I can't seem to find anyone who makes a header for my car ( 98 Civic DX) because the stock cat is combined with the manifold. A friend told me that an EX Header would fit, but I want to make certain before I buy one!
What about the O2 sensor and cat? Could it just go striaght back from the header? Please help! Thanks!

It fits... EX and DX have the same block.

You can buy a high-flow aftermarket cat and relocate it. You'll get a check engine light for second O2 sensor but you can ignore it (your car won't be in limp mode)... or get the O2 sensor wire extended/welded in to the exhaust pipe after the new cat.

not saying your wrong...but just because two cars have the same block doesn't mean headers are interchangeable. after all they connect to the head not the block...

oh I see...
Since it's the same topic, DragIIcivic, I'm just wondering what you've done to the second O2 sensor on your car? I'm having to remove my check engine bulb since I don't have the 2nd O2 sensor hooked up... although I do have a cat.

nothing....I have a turbo ex....one o2 in the cat, and I cut the harness to extend the wires so that the primary o2 fits in the bung on the downpipe. Avoid leaving the check engine on...it's not a good idea. even if you have to weld a bung into your exhaust set...it's worth it.

having your check engine light on is not good in any case....if something wasn't wrong or if it was okay to only have one o2 sensor hooked up the light would not come on...you should extend the wire and relocate it some where!

CHECK THIS OUT. ON A DX THE DC 4-2-1 I BET WILL WORK. THEY GIVE YOU AN O2 SENSOR EXTENSION AND YOU RUN OVER AND DOWN TO THE END OF THE HEADER. WHAT YOU WANT TO LOOK OUT FOR IS WHEN INSTALLING THE O2 SENSOR YOU WANT TO WATCH OUT FOR ANY WIRE THAT COMES LOOSE. IT HAPPENED TO ME AND OTHER PEOPLE AND IT WAS USUALLY THE BLACK WIRE.
