Default st00pid turbo "kit"...

Ok I'm now officially a member of [jeffk]TEH DARK SIED[/jeffk]. After a little bit of creative fabrication by st00pid, the first stage of "Project 140mph" is complete. With the help of our friend Donell M. the entire motor swap and turbo install took about a week and a half. Yes, it could have been done faster but time was not of the essence and we wanted to put everything together the right way. As you can see, st00pid and the crew at Autologic (thanks Brad for the use of the lift!) worked their magic on everything from the motor to the suspension...

Before...

After...

[Specs]
B18B not stock, 9:1
T3/60-1
STR intake manifold
850cc RC's
AEM fuel components & cam gears
RevHard exhaust manifold
Autologic 3.0" a/c compatible dump tube with 1-7/8" pipe hooked to stock exhaust system
Quicktime 3.0" electronic cutout
yada yada yada

The setup makes about 430hp@20psi. Full interior, a/c, MP3 player, etc. ITR floormats!!!

gg st00pid

16x7 40mm offset. Rota Circuit 8's. They were silver, but I spraypainted them "Graphite" with Duplicolor Wheel Coating.

The car is real clean.

Could you guys fill me in on the exhaust? Did you install a bypass?

Yes, it's basically a bypass. At the push of a button I can route the exhaust through the stock exhaust. Or I can dump it straight out to atmosphere through the 3.0" dump pipe when I'm at the track.

That is sweet as hell. Amazing how you kept the A/C compressor still there. I was expecting you placed it where the cat usually would be. Is this the same electronic bypass from Quick-Time performance?

So it just points right at the ground or did you add more 3" pipe to route it from under the car?

There's another 2 or 3" section that bolts on after the electronic cutout that dumps it straight down to the ground. Just enough so that it doesn't blow onto the oilpan or anything.

nice engine and turbo setup. The electronic cutout is an excellent sleeper mod. Do you plan to use the cutout only at the track or on the street sometimes also? How much louder is it when the cutout is active?

OMG. wow... Thats the way to do it.

This is the first time I've seen an electronic cutout used properly. Usually the guys that install the cut outs have a big loud exhuast system anyways, it makes me wonder why they need a cut out at all. Either way they are going to have lots of noise. The way you did it, you have a choice between quiet and loud.

awesome. thats what i call a nice set up. few and far between people concentrate on the speed but hardly on the suspension aspect of a car.

how does ur civic ride when u stock exhaust is connected? i would think you would get alot of back pressure and ur performance would be hindered on the street.
maybe upgrade to a better flowing stock exhaust???
also to really have to totally stock sleeper affect, u should put ur stock 14" wheels back on.

got any pics of the front? and if u ever bring that up to DFW, i would love to check it out and get a ride in it

Cost to hook one up is variable, but any performance shop or exhaust shop with a welder can do it......

With an open downpipe, you will not want to drive your car on the street. Let's just say it is VERY loud.
