okay, first of all i drive a 2001 GSR bone stock with a K&N drop in and a catback exhaust i installed just last weekend.

okay, i went over a speedbump, and it felt like it hit the tranny, and my CEL came on. VTEC doenst kick. My lights also got dimmer, and windows roll up slow. When i got home, the engine dies, and i cant start it back up. Jumped it, engine starts but right when i turn on the headlights, engine dies again. Checked the CEL. Threw out 2 codes, one was 20 and forgot the other one, but they were both sensor related. Checked under the car, sensors seemed fine. What the hell is wrong with my car??? im gonna jump start it again in the morning and try to make it to the dealer before work....

sounds like it could be battery or alternator related. like if the alternator is not working the lights could get dimmer and eventually the battery won't have enough power to start the car, choeck your connections. maybe you lost a ground somewhere.

 

Dunno for '01, but for my '95 code 20 is for the electrical load detector. Its not under the car, it lives in the fusebox directly outboard from the battery.

 

update, car freaking died way to work... the car bogged like crazy and wouldnt go over 3k rpm. idle was all the way to 0, speedometer didnt work, stereo died, clock died, and engine just died at red light. got towed to the dealer this morning. hopefully its covered by warranty. thanks for the replies guys.

 

okay, dealer called me saying the heatshield on the cat bended, causing it to rip the 02 sensor, and that causing my alternator fuse to go out and battery getting shot. i looked under my car last night and it looked fine. they want 480 to fix everything.. Will my car be driveable with the 02 sensor off and the alternator fuse back on? Cause i rather fix it on my own, just need to drive around for the rest of the week. let me know guys. thanks

thanks, im just gonna tell them to unplug the 02 sensor for now, and drive it around till i find myself obd1 ecu
